2010 Mini-reunion
2010 ROUNDUP
OCTOBER 1-3, 2010
EDENTON, NC
The dates and place are set! Keith and Nancy Sorensen are planning our roundup in Edenton, NC. There will be a pizza party on Friday (10/1) night, the Peanut Parade Saturday morning to be followed by an activity (to be announced later). Sunday will also be a planned activity day.
Some are planning to drive, but if your plans call for flying, the closest airport is Norfolk, VA...about 1 1/2 hours away in a rental car. We hope you will include the 'Roundup' in your Fall travel plans. We will have rooms set aside at a local motel and will send that information at the end of May.
Please let us know that you are planning to attend. I do not have email addresses for Clarence Reynolds and Mari Schuck Schala. If you have one, please forward this on to them and let me know, so they can be included in future updates on our activities. Anyone else you know that would like to be included, please let me know.

2008 Western Trojan Invitational
Our original thought was to have this event around the time of the annual Balloon Fiesta, the 1st weekend in October, Well let me tell you room prices go through the roof, if you can find one.
So Dead Eye put his talents to work and found that the weekend of the 17th, 18th and 19th of October seemed to be the most reasonable.
He has negotiated a really good price ($79/night) at the Navito Lodge .
Then we put Larry Laske aka Drunken Heinz to work finding good places to eat. Tough job, but someone had to do it.
Friday evening we will have dinner at Bravo Cucina Italana , menu range, $12 - $25. DH (Drunken Heinz} recommend.
Saturday will be a bus tour up the scenic Turquoise Trail . ($45/each) to Santa Fe with stops at the Tinkertown Museum and the town of Madrid (Sandye wanted to shop)
Dinner that evening will be at Texas Land
and
Cattle
Steak
House, menu range, $20 - $25. DH recommend,
Now Sunday will be a festive cook-out at my (in)famous Schloß von Sloth.
Gourmet cuisine will consist of Kosher Hot Dogs (no catsup), Bratwursts, Ham/cheeseburgers, potato salad, wine, beer and frozen margaritas and other stuff. Sandye is organizing the mud pit events. CDs and DVDs of THE Great 50th Reunion will be available.
A couple of notes. If you have breathing problems be aware that Albuquerque is at 5000', the Schloß von Sloth is at 7000' and Santa Fe is 7350'. If you are flying from Austin TX, Oklahoma City OK, Ontario CA (LA Area), Raleigh-Durham NC, San Antonio TX, Sacramento CA or Tulsa OK check out check out ExpressJet Airlines 1st class service at cattle car prices.
Please let our official bookkeeper, Sweet Lips aka Sandye, no later than April Fools day (4/1/2008) about your plans.
Be there - it will be fun.

Reunion redux?
There has also been some interest in the Balloon Fiesta held annually in Albuquerque the 1st weekend in October.
Our original thought was to hold a mini-reunion in Albuquerque in conjunction with the Balloon Fiesta but we have been informed by a semi-reliable source (Dead Eye) that trying to get deals with the motels at that time would be impossible. Even getting rooms would be tough.
So we dropped back to Plan B. Either the weekend before or after the Balloon Fiesta. The folks who want to see the Fiesta could come early or stay late depending on the weekend we picked. I have volunteered to host a cook-out here at the Schloß von Sloth.
So if you are interested, email me or Sandye (sandye145@aol.com) or Dead A... oops Eye (THATSAULL@MSN.COM) with your druthers. Or leave me a note in the guest book.
Up to date - but need IDs
I did notice that the pics of Sandye all have her mouth open. And Bill York always seems to be holding a beer.
Thanks for the help, folks.
Woof
But wait there's more. I went to check my snail-mail and there was a CD from Bill York with 35 new pictures and a fat package from Judy Lewis with 33 more pics and a copy of a Signature sheet from Lincoln School, Grade 7, room 3. And a very nice card.
Of course there was no identifications on any of these.
I'll be putting them as quickly as I can. Sometimes I recognize people, sometimes I can read the Name Tag, but I suspect there will be a lot of ???s for IDs. Help me if you can.
Thanks

Thanks a bunch guys.
Movies
Even a hosting site like goDaddy has a limit on their upload bandwidth. When several people are trying to view the movies at the same time this limit might be reached. You have a couple of options:
1) Try again later.
2) Watch the progress bar at the bottom of the QuickTime window. As the bar progresses you can resume the playback by clicking on the play button to the left of the progress bar. If you wait long enough the bar should go all the way to the right indicating that the entire movie has been downloaded. You can then either resume or drag the playhead marker back to the left and then resume to play the entire movie.
Sorry for this inconvenience, but it is the best I can do.
